Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free and there is no account. The tools, scales and guides cost nothing. The only exception is links to Genius Data, which are referral links: if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission. Each such link is labelled.
Can I use the scale items as they are in my thesis?
The items are given in the original authors' English wording, with the source for each construct. If you adapt the wording or translate it, pilot the questionnaire with 20–30 people before the main survey.
How do I cite a scale?
Each scale page lists the source of every construct, the original wording of every item and a reference list, so you can cite the original publication.
No SPSS? How do I run Cronbach's alpha, EFA or regression?
Use the tools: Cronbach's alpha for every scale at once, survey data analysis (EFA, correlations, regression) and mediation and moderation tests, all in your browser, with a results paragraph written for you.
Can I trust the numbers?
Results for Cronbach's alpha, EFA, regression and PLS-SEM are compared with R packages (psych, lavaan, seminr) on public datasets, and the comparison is published on the verification page.
